About Clara Darcy

Clara Darcy, from Greater Manchester, is an actress with a long list of theatre credits such as Brassed Off, Alice in Wonderland, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and more recently The Nutcracker. She has also had various television and film guest roles in Eastenders, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, The Royal, Nightmare in Suburbia, Retribution and BBC Two's Eric and Ernie.

Additionally, Clara co-wrote and performed in the stage play and radio play We Should Definitely Have More Dancing, which was inspired by her experience of being diagnosed with a clival chordoma in 2019. It highlights the new perspective she gained in remembering what is really important in life: “just to be present and be in the moment and live day-to-day."

How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
