Clare Balding OBE is a renowned British broadcaster, journalist, and author with an illustrious career spanning over two decades. She began her broadcasting journey with BBC Radio in 1994, quickly becoming a leading sports presenter on television. Clare has covered seven Olympic Games, five Paralympics, and numerous major sporting events, earning accolades like the BAFTA Special Award and RTS Sports Presenter of the Year for her outstanding contributions. Known for her versatility, Clare has presented diverse programs, including Ramblings on Radio 4, Crufts, and documentaries on women’s sports, the Suffragettes, and the Queen.
Beyond broadcasting, Clare is a bestselling author celebrated for her memoir My Animals and Other Family and several children’s books. She is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in sports, championing women’s sports and LGBTQ+ rights.
Clare lives in London with her wife, broadcaster Alice Arnold and together, they are popular figures on Celebrity Gogglebox and continue to inspire with their contributions to media and advocacy.

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
