CUK founders Gerald & Susan Fitz-Gibbon at launch of the Hope Appeal..

Last week saw the launch of UCL Cancer Institute's HOPE Appeal at  St James's Palace in central London, one of the capitals most beautiful and historic Royal palaces. This significant fund raising initiative will run for years and is inspired by Nicola Horlick a trustee of UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust.  The Hope Appeal is a fundraising drive to provide sustainable support for world-leading precision medicine research at UCL Cancer Institute.  The event was graced by the presence of HRH Princess Alexandra, Royal Patron of UCL CIRT. How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
