Chordoma UK update

A success story for Chordoma research – Dr Inga - the co-ordinator of the Understanding Chordoma study receives Fellowship

Dr Inga Usher, who coordinates the Understanding Chordoma national cohort study, has been awarded a research fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons. This fellowship will provide funding for Inga to continue her research into Chordoma after the completion of her PhD.

Inga’s intention is to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon and she hopes to specialise as a Chordoma and skull base surgeon in the future. There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
