New Malden Farmers Market supports Chordoma UK

Last Saturday morning with grey clouds over north Surrey, the "farmers" of New Malden gathered as usual for their monthly market. Joining them was deputy Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston who presented CUK joint founder Gerald Fitz-Gibbon with a cheque for £500.00. This superb donation was warmly received and Gerald emphasised the gratitude of initiatives like this to ensure the future of small charities such as Chordoma UK.

The inspiring chordoma survivor Emma Holloway was also at the event along with her young family and as a local resident she brought a particular reason for locals to support this initiative. So thanks to all involved with the New Malden farmers Market.

How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
