A great start to 2015

With our first Chordoma UK Board meeting of 2015 taking place later this week we are delighted to announce our supporters have raised a quite amazing total to date of £327,237.31. ($500,000)  This really is an extraordinary sum raised in the 20 months since Gerald & Susan Fitz-Gibbon launched Chordoma UK considering the goal was to raise £350,000 over the first 3 years. 

With further pledges in the pipeline and Gift Aid recipes coming in, we aim to well exceed the £350,000 mark by our 2nd anniversary. All this             is down to the sheer hard work, grit and determination of the many people who organise events, rattle tins and are utterly committed to battling the awful disease that is chordoma.

An exciting year is ahead of us with a range of initiatives and events taking place. Keep following us and we'll be keeping you posted with our   news.

How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
