The 2020 Virgin London Marathon

For several years Chordoma UK has been fortunate to secure guaranteed places for a bunch of runners in the iconic Virgin London Marathon through our charity Golden Bond. Sunday 26th April 2020 will be no exception though this year it will be a first…. This event will be the first marathon where Chordoma UK will have an all-female team of runners.  The London marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet.  Since 1981 well over £1 billion has been raised for many worthy causes and let’s be frank, we would love to get a chunk of future funds being raised through your support of our runners.   So welcome Fiona Barrie, Darcey Wynter and sisters, yes 3 sisters Amy Casterton, Rosie Casterton and Julie Dovey! Training has started and you’ll be able to follow them through their Just Giving fundraising pages.

How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
