Celebrating 5 Years of Chordoma Chat and Cheers

On Thursday 31st May 2026, Sylvie Leslie hosted the 5th anniversary meeting of Chat & Cheers, our online virtual support gathering. The occasion brought together many of our regular attendees, alongside others who join us from time to time, to celebrate this important milestone.

As part of the event, Sylvie shared memories, reflections and testimonials from chordoma patients and family members, highlighting the difference the group has made to so many lives over the past five years.

You have chordoma but chordoma doesn’t have you”

“My first meeting was a turning point; I felt so lonely and the group was a lifeline. As caregivers need somewhere to vent and receive support - the group provides just this”

"I felt overwhelmed by my diagnosis but by the end of my first meeting and what keeps me coming back is the knowledge of complete understanding”

These heartfelt words reflect the sense of connection, understanding and support that Chat & Cheers continues to provide for everyone affected by chordoma.

If you have yet to join one of our Chordoma Chat & Cheers sessions, why not give it a try? You’ll be amazed by the warm welcome and support you receive. Whether you prefer to share your experiences or simply listen, there is no agenda and no pressure—just a friendly, understanding community waiting to welcome you.

How your donation is spent

There is little funding available for research into this relentless bone cancer mainly because it is relatively rare, occurring in only 1 in 800,000 of the population. Without a focused approach to raising money for research into chordoma, little will change quickly.
